I am a psychotherapist in private practice in mid-town Toronto. I hold a Bachelor of Social Work with Honours from Ryerson University, a Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Toronto, and a certificate in Focusing-Oriented Therapy from the Focusing Institute, New York. Currently, I am obtaining further certification in Mindfulness Meditation and Psychotherapy at both the University of Toronto and the Mt. Sinai Hospital Psychotherapy Institute. Since 2005, I have worked with Dr. Lucinda Sykes at Meditation for Health facilitating Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) groups. As well, I have facilitated groups at Sheena’s Place and practiced individual counseling at The Women and Body Image Project, Women’s College Hospital, a program for women with disordered eating and physical differences. I have additional training in diversity and multicultural practices with an emphasis on inter-racial families. I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Social Workers(OASW) and a professional associate of the Focusing Institute, New York.
